First time visitors from UK. Any Entertainment...

My fiance and I are coming to the Sheraton Moana Waikiki to get married in October 2006. We are bringing with us both friends and family, therefore there will be a wide age range and we are looking for advice for things to do and places to go whilst we are there. We hope to do a Lu%26#39;au, shopping, drinking, dancing you name it we want to do it all. We have only 7 days in Honolulu so can anyone help advise us as to what are the best attractions, bars, resturants and entertainment.

Thanks.

There is just too much to do to really respond to your post.

Once you arrive you will see rack upon rack of brochures, discount coupons and adverts for places to go.

Best recomendation, go with the flow and RELAX.

Since you are flying from so far, the one thing I would say to see is the Arizona memorial. Outside of that there are more activities than you can go in a year.

Congrats on the upcoming nuptuals.

EmJayGin - congratulations! My recommendations would be:

- Chill out for the first few days - it%26#39;ll take a while to get used to the humidity and time difference

- Eat / drink at Dukes and Tikkis - both are very lively and fun

- Watch a movie on the beach. Link: http://www.sunsetonthebeach.net/

- Watch the fireworks on a Friday night

- Hire a car for the day, or book a tour, and get out of Waikiki to see the rest of the island

- If you like movies and/or the tv show Lost, visit Kuoala Ranch and do the Movie Tour (they filmed scenes from Lost, Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, to name but a few). They also do other activities, e.g ATV rides and horse riding

- Watch the sunset in House Without A Key in the Halekulani - expensive but the entertainment is classy, and

- Make your friends back home jealous by waving to them from the live webcam in front of the King Kahanamoku Statue, in the centre of Waikiki: Link: …honolulu.hi.us/cameras/…waikiki.htm

Enjoy!
