We will be on the BI for only one day :( and our morning will be taken up with an airplane tour over the island. We wanted to snorkel Captain Cook in the afternoon but are having trouble matching up what we want with what we are finding available. Can anyone help? What we want is:
1. a tour which will have us back to the airport by 6:00 pm (plane leaves at 7 pm);
2. boat with easy access in and out of the water (3 in our party of 6 have some weight issues);
3. tour which runs on a Friday (the day we will be on the island) which rules out Fairwinds snack cruise.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as we need to book ahead since we have a group of six traveling together. Thanks! Azul_waters

That would be Dolphin Discoveries, which has a noon tour for 3 hours and runs every day.
Or you might try Sea quest too......

Thanks! After checking out their websites I only had one concern. Do you think someone who is overweight can pull themselves up into this type of watercraft? Three of our group would have a problem if so. Thanks again!
if you can climb out of a swimming pool by a swim ladder then yes... if not......no.
My boyfriend and I did the morning SeaQuest raft trip a few years ago -- it was awesome! there were only spots for 6 on the boat and the captiain was the best we%26#39;ve had on any tour we%26#39;ve done (4 of the islands). The only downside is 1)cover from the sun and 2)going to the potty...well, there is a big toliet you could swim in, but i%26#39;ll leave it at that. ;-) The big boats offer that (but more crowds) and the food on the SeaQuest wasn%26#39;t really that great, but we didn%26#39;t care, we wanted less crowds.
I don%26#39;t remember getting into and out of the raft an issue at all. I%26#39;m not a skinny chicken.
Snorkeling Captain Cook was sooooooo beautiful! I can%26#39;t wait to do it again one day. I haven%26#39;t seen more beautiful underwater coral anywhere else in Hawaii, and I%26#39;ve snorkeled a lot on Maui, Kauai, Oahu, and the BI. They also took us to Place of Refuge, which you could easily drive to, but dropped us further out where it would have been a long swim. The snorkeling there is incredible, too. The best in all of Hawaii those two spots, i%26#39;m jealous, have fun!
the easiest in and out of a boat is on Fairwinds.....larger group but bathroom. burgers and better comfort.... than any other.
