I want to stay in Lahaina, since it seems farely close/midway to both South Maui and West Maui.
We will be staying in Hana for 3 nights, but have that covered.
Has anyone stayed at the Makai Inn in Lahaina? If yes, your thoughts??
What about the Wai Ola Vacation Paradise? Does it have an ocean view and how is it?
Not into big resorts or huge high rises.
Thanks!!
Need Help w/Finding Place to StayAloha! How about trying something different - other types of accommodations? Check out this website for all kinds of types of places in Lahaina area: www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/hawaii/maui Maybe you will find out just what you need. I know I like finding something unique and am not interested in the mega resorts either. Good luck! Lahaina is a fun town! :)
Need Help w/Finding Place to Staywe always stay at the makai inn when we go to maui. it is very cozy and family operated. the units are all the same size, compact little kitchen units. no tv or phone or maid service. you can hear the ocean waves. all the units face a jungle-like courtyard and the ocean. no sandy beach there. a sitting area is by the water.
My wife and I are the owners of Wai Ola Vacation Paradise. Two of our units have great ocean views... The Kuuipo Room and the Malanai Suite. All the rooms are different. Reading the reviews on tripadvisor, as well as the descriptions on the website, should give you a good idea.
Aloha, Jim
