Hi there!

My husband and I will be staying @the Kaanapali Villas in late May as well. We%26#39;ve never stayed there b4 but have heard and read great reviews of this place. It%26#39;s for travelers on a budget, people who won%26#39;t be spending much time in their hotel rooms. It%26#39;s always great to rent a condo like the Kaanapali Villas, cuz they have a kitchen so you can make your own meals some of the time.

The restuarant on the premises is called Castaway. Yes they do serve drinks but not around the pool area. As far as the music and surf lessons... they have plenty on that in Lahaina which is just a short drive(5 mins away). There%26#39;s many great restaurants and entertainment in that area. You can sign up for surf lessons on Front St. in Lahaina. There%26#39;s lots of companies to choose from. Anyway good luck on your plans and have a great trip.

Hi - I would have to disagree with a few things from the last post .... we just stayed in October and our unit was OUT OF THIS WORLD - we went to vrbo.com and searched and rented straight from the owner and was more than pleased. We are 30 and have very high standards - our unit was 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen with everything stainless steal, flat screen tv, gorgeous furnishings ........... look around, search from owner so you will know exactly what unit you are getting ... ours was oceanfront and was GREAT!!!!

to answer your questions:

restaurant - castaway cafe had really great breakfast menu - pineapple pancakes - GREAT, you can%26#39;t take alcholic drinks from the bar area, but we had our own right in our unit and was 5 steps to our beach chairs, so no big deal ...... they are open until around 11:00, light music, next door at VERY close has luau and other bars, etc ....... no surflessons at villas, but you can rent scuba stuff and scuba is really good right in front of the hotel ....

enjoy your stay - it is gorgeous there!!
