Aloha there,

As you probably know, Jan to Feb is during our ';winter'; months, so the south shore, Waikiki, is generally flat and relatively calm, with small waves, on average 1-3 foot faces (measuring from the back of the wave) and the north shore has the big waves, sometimes up to 25-30 feet. Occasionally, the south shore will get a freak swell and the waves will pick up. In general, there is constant surfing to be had in Waikiki from dawn to dusk, but expect small, extremely modest waves and generally flat, calm seas. The North Shore is where the excitement is, but that%26#39;s a whole another league.
