air travel-best time to book for Sept

I have been researching air travel for Sept from Baltimore to Oahu..in 1 week the price jumped from $750 to $850!

Not sure why. Is this too soon to book?

I know that Sept is %26#39;low%26#39; season. should I wait to book?

Also, when is best time (for your body) to leave; afternoon and arrive the next morning or late evening and arrive the next afternoon??

Thanks!

The two schools of thought are:

Book early in case the prices rise.

Book last minute to get the best deal.

Personally, I book early. I would hate to make all the other plans and then find out I either can%26#39;t get a flight at all (which can happen) on the dates I want or the only seats left are the expensive one%26#39;s.

The best plan, but a ticket at what you think is an OK price then STOP looking...you will only get mad if the price drops.

As to which time to fly, it depends. I sleep quite well on a plane. There is a 6 hour difference in time but it probably won%26#39;t bother you once you arrive in paradise, it is like a caffene jolt.

Aloha!

You can always use a travel wholesaler and book now for a good price. usually, you can book a fly/drive or a complete package and save $ on airfare that way.

I have been working with a travel agent who keeps pushing to big resorts; thus, we have booked our stay at 2 out of the 4 islands thus far (Kauia Country Inn and Maui Kai condo); however, we still need to find lodging on the Big Island and Oahu.

In checking air from Baltimore, last week the cheapest price was $756 thru United and this week it%26#39;s jumped $100!

Not sure if 8 months is too soon to book or not. Not really sure of what is a good price either.

7 to 800 sounds good....from there the best you could probably hope for would be in the high 600%26#39;s and to me, to worry about a couple hundred bucks when you will be shelling out thousands is silly...I have a feeling the price of oil will not be dropping anytime soon so neither will the airfares but if you wanted to chance it, you might be able to save a bit by waiting till July to book. Then again, you might pay twice as much.

I just saw $683 per person flying f/BWI to Oahu and then from Maui back to Balt.

American Airlines. Maybe I should book it??

is it better to go home in the afternoon or late evening flight? which is better on the body??

Sounds like a good price to me. I would book it and then don%26#39;t look for a cheaper one, just keep planing your trip once the airfare is booked.

I prefer the lateer flights (more time in paradise) plus you will probably end up sleeping most of the way anyway...

I am a little leary about flying American Airlines..with the past history of terrorists picking on US airlines...esp American...scares and all...am I being neurotic here?
