things to do with 6yr.old & 15month old

staying at the grand wialia in april and looking for suggestions on things to do with the girls. I would love to do the road to hana, but afraid it may be to much. Any suggestions are helpful. (snorkeling, volcanos, waterfalls, cal waters and day trips)

Maui Ocean Center. Daytime hula shows. Keiki hula show at Lahaina Cannery Mall. The 6-year-old might enjoy all the activity in Lahaina. Swap Meet, maybe. The entire Hana trip might be too much, but you could go as far as Ho%26#39;okipa Beach and watch the windsurfers and kiteboarders. Driving to the top of Haleakala, maybe. It all depends on what your kids will put up with.

Hi, I took my 2 toddlers to Maui this past July. We did the Maui Oceant Center, the entire family enjoyed this. It%26#39;s not an all day thing - you could stay a few hours and see everything. The have huge floor to ceiling aquariums with fish, turtles, and rays bigger than your kids!

We also did the Sugar Cane Train Dinner - it%26#39;s held Thursday evenings only. I think we picked up the train in Lahaina. You take a nice ride on an old sugar cane train, do a quick turn-a-bout, then head to an outdoor all you can eat catered meal - BBQ Ribs, Fried Chicken, Hot Dogs, Salads, potatoes, corn, fruit, desserts, and drinks. While you are eating you are entertained with a nice hula show featuring children and adults. My kids really enjoyed the entire show. The food was good and a nice change when you%26#39;ve been eating seafood every day. After the meal it%26#39;s another quick ride back to the boarding area. This was entertaining enough to keep my kids happy all night, my husband and I enjoyed it too.

We also did the Reef Dancer - underwater boat. This was horrible!!!!!!!!!! The boat was extremely hot, very noisy from the engine noise underwater, and it rocked constantly. More than half of the passangers had to go up on the deck about 10 minutes in to the ride because they were getting sea sick from all of the rocking! It was bad! We didn%26#39;t see anything but 1000 of the same black trigger fish and 1 octopus. It was a total waste of time and money.

If your kids like ice cream be sure to go to Lapperts - there%26#39;s one at the Shops at Wailea. There%26#39;s also a Tommy Bahama%26#39;s restaurat there that was very kid-friendly and had great evening entertainment and the most relaxing atmosphere anywhere!

Also Cheeseburger in Paradise is kid-friendly with good food.
