I have been reading some nice things about the Kona Reef Condo. How is the location for this condo? Nice?
Would you stay in this area.
Kona Reef vs Magic Sands???
Hawaiidan..your thoughts on this condo? kona reef condo
Well for my money nothng can beat the Magic Sands for price, location, has a restauraunt that is top notch, between 2 state parks..
next to Magic Sand beach .....and in a very safe area.... Heck, I live in this area.....so it aint shabby.
I will check out the Reef as I drive by today.. gotta get lobsters for friends...
And no am not diving.......if you know where to go you can buy live Maine lobsters 1.25 lbs for $10 bucks each.....
As recall it is a large older complex removed some what off the beach. tucked n behind Sea Village......but I will get back to you on that
Another great place is Royal Sea Cliff..

Oops. Sorry (my first post here) - I don%26#39;t see anyplace that this board allows members to email each other.
Thanks Hawaiidan. I appreciate it. Would you stay there? I am going to post a request for people that have stayed at this condo.
The Kona Reef is a great condo project. I have stayed there several times, and the 2 bedroom units are particularly liveable.
It is only a few blocks from Huggos and the old Kona Hilton (';Royal Kona Resort';) so you can walk into central Kailua-Kona fairly easily.
It is a comprehensive project constructed by HASEKO, the top-line condo builder of the early 1980s (Kaanapali Shores and Kamaole Sands are two well known examples). It has a large central open area with pool, deck, lawn, and volleyball court; a nice sand pit near the ocean (its not a real beach); great sunset views; and, its in a fairly quiet location.
However, like most places in Kona, to enter the water you have to go over a rock ledge, which can be tricky if there is any meaningful surf.
I recommend it often and highly to my friends.
Hi...there are some secrets that are best left a mystery...... this is one....sorry
