oops I meant to post this on the off topic boards. Sorry. My deepest apologies. I won%26#39;t do it again. Promise.
Pilikia, where u stay?
heehee, cuz, she in wailuku.
Pilikia, where u stay?
alohas halemalu, thanks for posting on the off topic boards. I%26#39;ll toggle between both now!!!!!
rats, I thought Pil was gonna tell us the inside story on where the locals stay.....
me too, trying to stay on the subject on this one, or just keeping it short. i think everyone will do that if they want to be ';in'; on something good!
Eh howzit localgirl? Yup, Hale%26#39;s right. I stay Wailuku.
Chicogirl, I can still tell you where the locals stay when they go visiting other islands.........usually other people%26#39;s living rooms. For reals, most locals stay with family.
yeah those locals always have somebody to stay with for free on other islands, even though i offer them my guesthouse rooms for 40.- kama%26#39;aina rate. perhaps i should lower the rent? lol
LOL I think I%26#39;ve only stayed at a major resort once on Kauai! But your place sounds great, Hale! Maybe I can convince my boyfriend to take the ferry over for a couple days. I%26#39;ll be on Oahu next month on business and staying at the Hyatt. When I get back b/f and I will be going on vacation in the mainland. Half the vacation will spent at families and the other half camping in Yosemite!
you got family on molokai too?
Nah, had some friends whose families lived there but they%26#39;ve moved. Some to Oahu and others to Maui. You know how it is......employment opportunities are not Molokai%26#39;s strong points.
yes it is sad, all our friends are broke. but somehow they live. hunt, fish, swap, odd jobs, foodstamps, section 8. i guess with everybody knowing each other in a small community nobody is too hungry. the down and out are more visible in large cities. we know some guys who live in their vans. lucky the van still runs.
