Inter-island combo Flight-Tour

It looks like the Discount flight has to stop in Honolulu before going to Hilo.

Would coupon Flights be better? (Cost)

Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated .(First Trip to Hawaii)

the days of the flight cupons are long gone...

Fly to Hilo.....arriive before 8am take a 1 hour helo tour, then in car drive to the volcano by 1030........ it will take the better part of an hour. Then it will take 6 hours to un through the park and chain of craters road. You will only see flowing lava by air....

you wll get back to Hilo around 530 to 6 at the airport.....and be exhausted..... dont try do more.... as each thing you do will detract from the other......
