I%26#39;m looking for a restuarant in Waikiki that allows you to cook your own meats etc. Need to accomidate 40-to 45 people for dinner. Beach or ocean view would be perfect. Any ideas.

The Shore Bird at the Outrigger Reef is on the beach and has cook your own meats. Great location but I must say we didn%26#39;t like the smoky grill - to each his own I guess!

We had our wedding reception at the Shorebird, after getting married on a catamaran just off Diamond Head It was great, the staff were wonderful, and the food was awesome.

Ocean view and beach view seats are limited though, especially for such a large party. (we had 25 in our group)

The cook your own part adds to the fun,IMHO..

I would recommend that you call ahead, the place can be very busy.

We actually stopped in and talked to the manager the week before the wedding. They bent over backwards for us.

Shorebird and the Outrigger Canoe Club are the only places on Waikiki Beach that allows you to cook your own steak. The Outrigger Canoe Club is a members only club and they have Steak night only once a month. Someone in your group would need to be a member or know a member. The nice part of this BBQ, it%26#39;s outside and no smoke to worry about.
