I%26#39;m want to stay in a roomy, clean and quiet place for our honeymoon in June. I cannot decide between the Kaanapali Alii or The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach. Any suggestions?
Kaanapali Alii or The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach
They are both great properties. I would recommend The Whaler though. Better beach location, larger lanai%26#39;s, more renovated units, and directly next door to Whalers Village. Plus, it tends to be a little less expensive than the Alii.
Kaanapali Alii or The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach
I have stayed at the Whaler more than once, and I am going back in July. I have never had a bad experience there.
I stayed at both the Whaler and Kaanapali Alii. I prefer the Whaler for those gorgeous lanais and great beach. My main issue with the Alii is many of there units are not inline with their prices. We are going back to the Whaler in April.
That said, as long as you get a premium unit at the Alii and can shell out the cash you will be happy with both.
One last thing if it was my honeymoon and I didn%26#39;t have kids in tow I would stay at a hotel(Sheraton, Westin or Hyatt) instead of a condo . Once and if the kids come along you%26#39;ll need the condo.
Happy honeymoon.
Congratulations! We%26#39;ve stayed at the Whaler once and Ali%26#39;i once, and are going back to the Ali%26#39;i next month. The Whaler is comfortable, the Ali%26#39;i is extravagant (the rooms that we had, anyhow). For a special trip such as what you%26#39;re going to have, I%26#39;d go for the Ali%26#39;i. It%26#39;s really just a matter of taste. Do you want to feel pampered in your home away from home, or do you want to feel like you%26#39;re staying at a relative%26#39;s house? Get an oceanfront unit. You won%26#39;t be disappointed.
