Hi everyone-
I will be travelling to Hawaii from Seattle, March 17-27, flying into the Big Island and switching over to Maui around the 21st. Airfare is in the $700-850 range. Should I wait for the fares to go down or just jump at the lowest fare I can get right now?
Thanks!

Just saw a deal on www.travelzoo.com for Aloha Airlines, under airlines. You might also look under the vacation specials if you are needing hotels/cars too.
If you can get a cheap ticket from SEA-OAK (Seattle-Oakland, CA), Aloha offers fares of $149 OAK-KOA (Kona, Big Island) and Maui-OAK.
Basically, buy a ticket from SEA-OAK and then an open jaw from OAK-KOA, Maui-OAK. It may be cheaper to get 2 one way tickets to/from Hawaii also.
Good luck on cheap fares..

If you do as KNR suggests, it%26#39;s possible that you%26#39;ll end up paying about the same. For example, if you find $150 rt from seattle to Oakland, then buy the Okland to Kona ticket for $149, which will probably be more like $200 after tax, and buy another ticket from Maui back to Oakland, which will also be around $200 bucks after tax, and then have to spend $70 on the interisland flight from Maui to Kona, you%26#39;ve spent $620. Plus if you check luggage you%26#39;ll be worrying about whether it will arrive b/c of the ';unconnected'; connections.
If you are doing a circle trip, SEA-KOA-OGG-SEA, I would think $600-$700 is about the right fare. Maybe $500 if you wait -- but maybe not. The cost of jet fuel is not likely to have a positive impact on fares in the near future.
Thanks for your advice! I bit the bullet last night and I bought the flight at $650 rt. I%26#39;m glad I did-- just checked this morning and the same flight I bought just went up to $810 rt. Close call!!
